Stay-at-Home Spring Break ~ Our Homeschool Week

This week has been Spring Break, but I think we need a rest from all our time off! J

It's been a ridiculously busy week.

Lots of work on the house including finishing the brick, putting up the ceiling drywall, blowing in the attic insulation, and general clean-up {a dumpster full!}.

Continuing frantically on that writing project, with much prayer that it all pays off in a few months.

And...we're sneaking in a day off with a trip to one of our most favorite places ~ The Creation Museum.

So, I pray you'll forgive that this post is mostly pictures. J {Or is that your preference?}

We read a lot anyway, but this week it was especially enjoyable without school obligations hanging over us.

The 14yo spent a few minutes here and there on an extreme dot-to-dot with over 1,000 dots! A terrific exercise for patience building.

Love is in the spring air! Aren't they cute?

The Bigs learned a new game, and then later taught it to the rest of us.

Watching cartoons in their jammies...a rare treat.

Shooting rockets at a weary {but good-natured} Daddy.

We have a ceiling...

...and attic insulation! {Safety first!}

Have a wonderfully blessed weekend!

  1. It looks like you had a great week! And yay for ceilings, insulation, and cartoons in jammies! LOL

    1. Definitely yay, Chrystal! Got a lot done. Have a wonderful weekend! :-)

  2. Good to see all the progress on your new house. Good to take a week off from school work too.

    1. Isn't there a saying "Change is as good as a rest"? It's been a good break, and now we only have about eight weeks of school left. Yippee! :-)

  3. What are the kids playing? It really looks like fun and we love to play games as a family!

    1. Forbidden Island. We really like it because it's not player against player. All the players work as a team to get off the island together before it sinks. :-)

  4. I used to love dot-to-dot when I was a kid. I had no idea it could go up so high, lol! My spring break is not until April. I care for a friend's daughter after school, and so I still have a few weeks to wait! How lovely to be able to go to the Creation Museum. I have never been there but would love to go. Hope you've had a lovely week and thanks for linking up to Making Your Home Sing Monday!

I so much appreciate your time and effort in leaving a comment, and I try to respond to as many as time permits. :-)
