Three Ways Christians Should Be Like Olympic Athletes

  1. Olympic athletes train tirelessly with a specific goal in mind. “…Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith….” Hebrews 12:1-2
  2. Olympic athletes congratulate each other when the competition is over. They don’t whine or name-call or stomp off when the games don’t go their way. “…Walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love….” Ephesians 4:1-2
  3. Olympic athletes encourage one another in the common bond of their country. “…Fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit….” Philippians 2:2-3

What other ways do you think Christians could be more like the Olympic athletes?
